Tigers are located throughout Asia and Asia Minor they are the largest cats in the world. Originally some 102 years ago there were as many as 100,000 tigers roaming the earth. During the past 70 years 4 subspecies and over 96,000 tigers have become extinct. They were located in Bali, Java, the Caspian Sea Region and China. The reasons tigers continue to decline in the wild are poaching, habitat destruction, and the effects of isolation within forest patches.
